The Three Ways School Scent Trail

This project was inspired by the scents that were explored on a journey outside of the school.
The students collected photographs, video, sound and physical objects to document their experiences.
When they returned they drew pictures of themselves (and the school dog!) as well as some objects
and backgrounds. These were animated and the students recorded some music and narration as they
watched the movie. All this was presented by the students to groups of their peers and parents in an
interactive format in the 'Sensory Studio'. The film was interspersed with some of the evidence
collected and the students passed around scented objects. At certain points in the animation
different flavours of scented bubbles were automatically delivered from bubble machines that had
been connected to a computer.
